OPEN DOOR NETWORKS' WHO'S THERE? FIREWALL ADVISOR TO BE INCLUDED WITH SYMANTEC'S NORTON INTERNET SECURITY

ASHLAND, OR. -- February 21, 2002 -- Open Door Networks Inc. today announced that its acclaimed Who's There? Firewall Advisor will be included as a component of Symantec's newly-announced Norton Internet Security for Macintosh 2.0. Who's There? helps users understand, analyze and react to attacks detected by the Norton Personal Firewall component of Norton Internet Security.

With an ever-growing number of computers connected to the Internet through "always on" connections, there has been a significant increase in the number of hackers attempting to infiltrate those computers. Norton Personal Firewall was developed to thwart and log those intrusion attempts. Who's There? Firewall Advisor works with Norton Personal Firewall to provide in-depth information that helps users determine the degree to which they should be concerned about particular intrusion attempts, and what they can do in response.

Open Door and Symantec have had a long-standing relationship. In 2000, Symantec licensed Open Door's DoorStop firewall technology and used that technology as the basis for Norton Personal Firewall. Open Door and Symantec also worked together on the Mac OS X version of that firewall, in addition to Open Door's shipping the original version of Who's There? in January, 2001.

"When we began working with Symantec, this is exactly the type of relationship we envisioned," said Alan Oppenheimer, president of Open Door Networks. " Open Door develops innovative security products, and Symantec, the leader in the field of Internet security, brings those products to the widest possible market."

Open Door will also continue to distribute Who's There? independently. Details of Who's There? and free evaluation versions of the product for both Mac OS 9 and X are available at http://www.opendoor.com/whosthere/ . Information about Symantec's Internet security products is available at http://www.symantec.com.
