About the Role

We're looking for a Corp Dev Associate to join our Corporate Development team, with a focus on identifying, structuring, and executing strategic partnerships that accelerate Opendoor's growth. You'll work alongside senior leaders to evaluate opportunities, lead due diligence, and help build relationships with partners ranging from real estate brokerages and mortgage lenders to proptech companies and enterprise platforms.

This is a high-visibility role with exposure to Opendoor's most senior stakeholders and a chance to shape the company's long-term strategic direction.

What You'll Do

Source and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities aligned with Opendoor's growth priorities, including channel partnerships, product integrations, and ecosystem plays
Build financial models and business cases to assess deal economics, market sizing, and strategic fit
Lead and coordinate due diligence processes across legal, finance, product, and operations teams
Structure term sheets, partnership frameworks, and deal economics in collaboration with legal and business leads
Develop executive-ready materials including memos, board presentations, and investment committee briefs
Track the competitive and partner landscape across real estate, fintech, and proptech to surface new opportunities
Manage post-close integration and partnership governance
Build and maintain relationships with potential partners, VCs, and industry contacts

What We're Looking For

2–4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; ability to translate complex data into clear business narratives
Experience structuring or supporting negotiations for complex, multi-stakeholder deals
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — you can write a crisp one-pager and present it to a C-suite audience
High degree of ownership and comfort with ambiguity; you drive processes forward without being told what to do next
Genuine curiosity about real estate, technology, and how markets evolve
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience a plus but not required

Bonus Points

Prior experience in real estate, proptech, or financial services
Familiarity with the home-buying or selling transaction
Experience managing cross-functional workstreams in a fast-paced environment

Why Opendoor

Competitive salary and equity
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
Flexible PTO and parental leave
Hybrid work model with offices in San Francisco, Phoenix, and other key markets
A mission-driven team working on one of the most complex and consequential markets in the world

Opendoor is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.
